October 15, 1958 – May 22, 2017
Mike Beavers, 58, of Melba passed away from cardiac arrest at his home on Monday May 22, 2017. Mike is now at peace and no longer in pain because he is in heaven with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Mike was born the youngest of three children of Carl & Carol Beavers on October 15, 1958 in Boise, Idaho. He spent much of his youth at the family cabin near Crouch hunting with his Granddad Dike and cutting firewood with his Dad. Mike graduated from Borah High School in 1978 and the following year met the love of his life Deana Weast. Outdoor adventures bonded their relationship for nearly 38 years from their first date of snowmobiling to their recent Alaskan fishing trip. Mike passed along his love of the outdoors to their three children, teaching them to shoot, hunt, fish, ride motorcycles and everything in between. Mike was a devoted husband and father who selflessly supported the kids in their many 4-H and FFA projects on their small family farm in Kuna. Mike was a skilled truck mechanic working for Eddy’s Bakery in Boise for 28 years. After opting for an early retirement and moving to Melba, he found a truly rewarding career as an Owyhee County Sheriff Reserve Deputy and volunteer firefighter for the Murphy Reynolds Wilson Fire District. On May 4, 2017 Mike became an Owyhee County Marine Deputy. He also loved to run the Snake River with friends in their jet boats. Mike was the proud grandfather of four granddaughters who he dearly loved to spoil. One of his greatest delights was to plan an extravagant Easter egg hunt for them each year. From an early age, Mike was never without a reliable four-legged companion at his side.
Mike leaves behind his wife and best friend Deana, daughter Rebecca (Dennis) Rutan, son Joe (Lucia) Beavers, daughter Katie (Tyrel) Dyer, brother Carl (Barbara) Beavers, sister Debie (Norm) Rudolph, father in law Gerald Weast and granddaughters Madilyne, Paisley, Makayla & Hailey.
He was preceded in death by his parents, mother in law Helen Weast and sister in law Norma Beavers. In memory of Mike, donations can be made to the Owyhee County Sheriff’s Posse PO Box 128 Murphy, ID 83650 or MRW Fire & EMS 11606 State Highway 78 Givens Hot Springs, Idaho 83641.
