Brush Fire 1:
Time: 5:50pm
Around 5:50pm MRW Fire was paged out for a controlled burn that got out of control. The fire was located a few miles east of Murphy and it was extinguished before long.

Units Responding: Quick Attack 566, Heavy Brush 562, Brush 563, Tender 527, Engine 501 and POVs.

Brush Fire 2:
Time 6:48pm

As MRW crews were mopping up the fire outside of Murphy, dispatch notified command of another fire on Hwy 78 near mile marker 28. Crews arrived quickly and found a fire swiftly moving on BLM land. MRW fire crews, along with Melba Fire and BLM took an aggressive approach to get a line around the fire quickly. BLM labeled this 25 acre fire the MM28 HWY78 Fire.

Units Responding: Command 550, Quick Attack 566, Heavy Brush 562, Brush 563, Brush 564, Engine 501, Tender 527, QRU 540, two Melba Fire brush trucks, POVs and BLM units BC30, DZ1832, E1415, E1422, E1427, E1428.
